Like a Lily edition by Victoria PittsCaine Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

This is a sweet romantic short story by Victoria Pitts-Caine. It follows as most romances do - everyone thinking that the woman and the man would make a great couple. But the path to love is never straight forward. I enjoyed the story but would like for it to be longer. Tiffany Williams' voice was very easy to listen to and very enjoyable.
I was given this audio book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
In the mood for a short, sweet Easter story? Here's one ready-made. In a small town in California, Susan Williams returns home to open a flower shop with a legacy from her grandmother, as well as heal a bruised heart after being abandoned by a fickle boyfriend. Everyone knows everyone else's business in this hamlet, so no wonder several people hint that Susan would be a good match for the new minister, Ben Turner. He seems perfect, not just for Susan but also for any other single woman from eighteen on up. The path to love never runs smooth, and most of the bumps in this story are self-induced, but that's often true in real life. I would have enjoyed more detail about Ben's missionary service and captivity by terrorists, however, there's still enough of a taste of this to activate Ben's desire for a family. Turn to this novella for a relaxing, well written read on a hectic Sunday or anytime you want a break in routine.
A short, quick read about a new flower shop owner and the new pastor of her church. Will Susie find love at last or will the new pastor be beyond her reach? Sometimes people look beyond looks to what the heart is like, is it giving? Is it respectful? Given time friendships can blossom and possibly be something more.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! The only thing that disappointed me was that it was too short!
A sweet and unplifting story. It's a quick read, just what I was looking for. I loved the way Ms. Caine weaved the meaning of the name lily throughout the book--from the store owner to the minister's Easter sermon. I also like preachers and romance. This charismatic guy needed a lily for Easter services, but he also needed a lily for life. He got both. This is a good one.
I really enjoyed LIKE A LILY. The characters are well-rounded. The plot is believable. I highly recommend this book for your next curl-up-and-read session.
I loved this book! But then again, I find Ms. Caine to be an entertaining as well as knowledgeable author. "Like a Lily" is a delightful change of pace from her adventure books.
